She’s an evanescence; just a memory fizzing through your subconscious.

You only remember her, when you yourself are not all there.

Through dreams, you can dance with her, again.

Though when you’re awake, you refuse to remember her..

She’s cast away to your subconscious to remain just a memory frozen

and only kept alive through your dreams..

You see her face again, and tears splash out of your eyes.

As you dream, you cry, ” How could I have let myself forget?”

She just smiles and slips away as the sunlight hits your eyelids waking you..

You rub your eyes to find dried tears as if to be sand crusted harshly underneath caked makeup…

You ask yourself why you were crying when suddenly, a breeze swims through your window

and knocks down a picture off of your nightstand..

You pick up the newly cracked frame and see someone too familiar staring back at you..

Someone from long ago that you lost..

Someone that you miss too much …

You remember your dream..

The pain of seeing her face, causes your knees to buckle…

You’re on the floor of your bedroom slamming your fists into the rug praying for the sadness to go away.

She knows you weren’t strong enough to remember, but you still ask yourself, why?

She looks down at you every single day.

You miss your daughter so much…

She visits you in your dreams as you sleep.

Broken on your floor, she still smiles;even though she’s no longer there, she is.

She lives in you….
