The garden she entered seemed plentiful.
With little time, she began to trust and love a perfect stranger.
They spoke of wild stories.
Their little anecdotes in whispers that silenced the winter night surrounding them.
There were heart shaped hand marks on windshields
and kisses stolen and returned.
There were exchanges of I love you’s and comforting words.
There were freezing, bitter winds that howled outside of their safe heaven.
Nonetheless, they felt none of it, as they were too involved with one another.
The beauty she sought all of her life, was there in his eyes, embrace, and words.
She never in her life had felt so safe.
But soon her heart was to be shattered and her life to once again be as it was before.
Surrounded in chaos and sorrow, she found beauty somehow and is surviving.
The bitter in between of healing and longing for more is something she’ll
continue to endure.
The saying time heals everything is a true fallacy.
It’s true, in that with time, the heart does mend.
However, it’s a fallacy during the time of healing.
The storm after the peaceful holiday.
The paradise and then the hell.
She continues to believe that there is hope in the hell.
Beauty in the ugly.
And love in the hate.
Surrounded in all of this mess, she does not lament too long.
She swims through the deep waters and manages
through the love of others to keep the madness at bay.
The anger from the lies she has received, she regains her trust
in those who have not betrayed her.
She finds strength in her broken world and power in her healing mind.
She has always conquered other mental anguish throughout her years
and as GOD as her witness she will continue to persevere.
