Just when I thought I had had enough, you’ve changed my mind.

Just when I thought the sun could never shine, you’ve torn down my curtains, illuminating my tired eyes with light.

Just when I broke down and contemplated giving up, you picked me up and told me what I needed to hear.

Just when I thought no one cared, you wrote me a letter with words for only me to hear.

This is friendship.

This is sisterhood.

This has made me love and understand what trust can do.

You have shown me the divine love of Jesus through your actions.

You are not allowed to discredit your actions because you have saved my life and many others I’m sure.

You, who feels that you’re not enough sometimes.

You, who doesn’t see how beautiful you are.

Trust me, GOD made you an angel for many, including me.

You have shown me that I can show my love without it being rejected or misread.

You showed me that I am capable of giving love and being loved.

You’ve given me something I’ve so desperately needed in this rough life.

You’ve given me someone, something concrete to rely on.

You’ve given me your time, your honesty, and your truth.

I know you.
I know you more than I know the back of my hand.

For years, I have always held back my affection for those close to me.

I showed them that I loved them in small ways.

But since I’ve met you, I realize that I could do SO much more with my love.

You’ve inspired me to be myself and reach out to those in need.

I have reached out to those who I did not know, due to your inspiration.

You’ve changed my life and are continuing to make me grow as a person.

You may think you have flaws but trust me, you’re incredible.

Don’t ever let anyone hold you back or belittle you.

As you have had my back and held me as I’ve cried, I will continue to do the same for you.

I call you sister because you’ve taught me well and loved me like I’ve needed.

You have filled a huge gap that I hadn’t realized I had.
