Words are not always pretty,

like handwriting,

even more so like emotions.

Spoken words can mute the tongue like a sour candy,

can be bitter like grapefruit.

Written words won’t consistently be in rhyme,

or intellectual, or even beautiful casual.

As artists we hunt, we prey for pretty words, scouring through books for more pretty words when ours doggedly hide away .

These pretty words come

on their own time.

We are just the vessels they use to get noticed..
