Forgive you, forgive is all I do.
Smile and cry.
Laugh and struggle to tell me the truth
while you lie.
Sipping your tonic,
knowing your bed was made.
You have it disguised with the finest,
but all your soft cotton was eaten away.
Forgive me, forgive me.
You pretend you’re in the right.
Smile and cry.
Struggle while you’re laughing at me, lying to me.
I’ll tell you the truth at long last,
while you continue to lie.
Who are you lying to really?
Yourself.
Drinking in all of the nonsense all around me,
I should be stricken mad.
Having a guilt free conscience,
I let it flow by me.
I’m so above this nonsense,
I’m almost walking on water.
Look at yourself.
Talk with yourself.
Do you believe you?
Do you recognize you?
