Crept in,
bucking back,
breathing in open air, accepting the hallow.
Five a.m. laughing at me
I could taste the outside through my window
Foggy, sagging clouds and frost sprinkled leaves and grass, earthy and giving into the changes.
I hold onto the taste and linger longer on the lively scents of leafy decay.
Five a.m. laughing at me
I could smell the soothing Autumn scent.
How I wish it could last longer
Winter blows in so fast
Incorrigible, I toss and turn
pretty thoughts diverting away from the clock and taking me to lush forests.
Crept in
awoken by the hallow feel of my belly.
Bucking back to turn
checking the ruthless clock.
Five a.m. laughing at me and I know I’m fully myself.
Immersed in thoughts or suitable for the time,
tossing and turning, keeping the sensations alive
