Safe Place For Two

I’ll take it
as you give it
I won’t promise
that I’ll keep it
but I’ll try,
endeavor until the end of my life

I’ll give my all.
I’ll keep my word,
even when we fall.

Grace was given
when his blood seeped
through wood, then in us all.

I don’t know exactly
where this road goes.
I didn’t think I’d live this long.
I didn’t know I’d get this far.

You’re in a place
where life feels like a
twisted race;
you’re not alone.
I’ve been there, too.

You don’t have to
do anything that will no longer serve you,
sanity.
Harmony.
PEACE.

You may not see it now.
You didn’t deserve how,
they treated you.

You don’t have to do
anything that will no longer serve you.
If you want company,
I’ll reserve a place for two.

It’s a boomerang coming back around.
I’m happy to,
sit together and help you through and through.

I quite enjoyed this poem. Life is so much easier (and funner) when you have someone in your corner, someone you can confide in and help share the burden. Thanks for sharing. Hope your September is off to a good start.

  Thank you ! It truly is. My hubby, my friends and my family are the greatest people in my corner ❤️. Life would be too difficult without them. I’m grateful for all of you awesome people! Life has been a little rocky but I’m hanging in there best I can, taking it day by day. There’s nothing horrible going on, exactly, just a lot of change and adjustments that I’m trying to become accustomed to. I’ve been enjoying your pieces on your end. I hope you’re enjoying your September, too. It’s so nice now that the weather is breaking. I’m trying to get outside and vibe with nature as much as I can.
