Pass your your window,
you’re a flash of auburn burning
before my tired blue eyes.
You’re pacing and planning.
Of that, I’m positive.

We have so much in common,
concentrating better with movement.
I do miss our rapport,
our healing energy,
inadvertently fueling each other with
company we never knew we needed.

I’m grateful we’re still in touch.
What can be going through your gentle mind?

Whatever crosses your mind,
I know it’s something
that will change a child’s life.
You’re a hero,
in an everyday disguise.

I’ve come to terms with gravity
holding my feet
onto hard ground.

I know I’d starve
if I lived in the clouds
where you are.

Why do I get to know you?
I’m not meant to know.
I’m just grateful you’re close.

I’ve already let the change sink in,
but you’re still a blessing,
and I can’t let you go, yet.

Beautifully unique, like the friendship it evokes. Says just enough about something that’s clearly yours in a very special way.

Even if someone we love is gone, we can still feel their presence all around us. And it helps to hold onto their memory through pictures or a beautiful poem like this.
