Swooping spirited,
a chipping sparrow,
bright and secure,
lands agile in a bush.
singing sanguinely;
he’s not even noticing me.

There’s a chipping sparrow
teaching me how,
solitude can be healing,
featly pulling in placidity
singing peace to me.

And suddenly,
I feel slight,
shifting air,
like a dandelion seed
weightless and lackadaisical.

with how I am,
don’t ask me how
I’m sitting in this moment now.

Beautiful and airy piece. And I learned a new word, lackadaisical. I had to look up its meaning as I don’t think I’ve heard it before.

It always makes me laugh 🤣😂. I don’t know why that word makes me feel so giddy. I love using it when I can. Thank you 😊🙏🏻. Every time I come across a word I don’t know, I look it up, too. I love words and language. They’re so much fun to learn. How was your Mother’s Day? I hope you enjoyed 🙂

Agreed! It’s impressive just how many words there are. I tend to do the same about looking up new words.

It really is impressive and it’s so much fun learning new words. I’m chronically bored so I’m always trying to discover new things 😂😁
