“There’s not a word yet for old friends who’ve just met.”
– Jim Henson

Unraveling before you,
I’m screaming aloud.
The puddle’s water splashing high,
recklessly as I ran and jumped.

You didn’t stop me.

I don’t stop.
It never stops.
You saw me from the start.
I make you laugh and cry.

You don’t stop me.

Two years passed, and here we are.
Much has changed, but we have both grown.
Paranoia defeated by your stronghold,
your solid grip on my hand.

    There are worse things
than finding out how beautiful you are in a puddle
    and living for a thing
that always holds you when your feet are soaked.
