Pitter, Patter.
Plonk. Thud.
The rain sings it’s hollow song,
pinging on my window.

A sparrow chirps,
and a train moans miles away.

No one else is awake to witness this.

The rain sings it’s hollow song,
pinging on my window.
A sparrow chirps,
a crow caws,
and a train moans miles away.

The floral curtain is bored with remaining stiff,
letting itself drift and dance along with the noises,
dancing with the breeze carried through my window.

The curtain carries the outside with it.
I could imagine it’s a heavy weight.

And, no one else is awake to witness.

I have my window,
the breeze carrying the curtain,
carrying the outside.
The breeze carries all of these things
for my company to keep.
