Suppress and regress.
Writing from the heart.
Speaking turns to fighting.
It’s your greatest master art. I’ve learned to keep my lips quiet,
keep opinions to myself.
All this is is no home, but a battlefield and you can always count me out.
Going backwards in time,
my arms are heavy behind me.
Getting sucked further and faster, all my courage is fleeting.
Why would you do this ?
Play mother then bully.
If this is the truth than call me a rookie.
Keep my lips quiet, we’ll all tiptoe around you.
Hold up your strings, make us all dance to amuse you.
Just remember one thing while you’re holding your aces.
Who could you control, without us? Without us, you would have nothing. Take care of each other, stop the cycle.
You’re the adult.
You make the right choice.

Help me to flourish.
I chose the photo I took of the butterfly with the wings closed to express a child having walls up to fight off their bullies. The picture of the butterfly with the wings open at the end of the post represents the resiliency of children. With enough healing, they can bounce back and grow. The main point I’m trying to drive home is that adults need to set good examples for children, not bully them and that children will flourish when given the opportunities. Take care of each other and love each other guys. The next generations depend on us.
