I won’t kill the millipede in my sink,
won’t halt his tiny legs today.
He is on his way, only caught in a puddle, my mess.

Pour more wine, foolish and fowl fearful fibber.
Pour more and spill a lot, laughing until you’re sobbing, the pain ebbs and fades.
You’re sleeping in your mess and waking to see the others stuck in it with you.

I won’t kill the millipede in my sink,
won’t spill more wine this time.
That metaphorical soon-to-be smashed bottle won’t take my eager light away.

I want so much to scoop up this little creature and apologize, as if I could do so for you.

Clean up my wine, my never-ending ballad of lies and useless time keeping, and aim to not hinder another, again.

I’ve learned so much from something so small.

Well, I’ve probably shared enough thoughts on this piece with you, but I’m still very humbled by the tribute.
“Clean up my wine, my never-ending ballad of lies” just musical there! Great work, never stop writing. 🙂
