Ragged running, too many cooks in a misshapen kitchen.
We don’t fit.
Throwing our words back.
This isn’t working.

Others are owning the stage.
Then, there’s me and you.

Ragged running and losing my patience.
Wide brown eyes meet my blue.
Our gaze is dancing within the circus

Hostility halts in your smiling eyes.
Restore.

I’m Reborn.

Your eyes smile.
I catch you smirking.
You pretend to be flat.
I know you’re round and full.

Bring me into your whole, let me enjoy what’s making your eyes twinkle.

Ragged running, too many cooks.
In this space, it’s just us two,
your smiling eyes and smirking mouth.

    Beautiful, smiling, smirking words…

    gentler than they know.

“Our gaze is dancing within the circus” ah this is what I came back for, I missed your way with words. This piece is raw, real and beautiful. Great work Brittny 🙂

Thank you so much! This piece is very literal too. Haha where I work there is a lot of chaos but in that so much beauty and trust. 🙂

No problem! You know, on second reading I can see that now, but your surrealistic style makes it feel symbolic on a deeper level nonetheless.
