Scare Me

You’ve been waiting for my slow body and mind to catch up to the signs you’ve been sending. My mind goes too fast and you say yours does too.

Don’t ever give me a break, I’ll lose my grip too easily. I can’t stop. I know you could see. I’m never alone, not truly, continuously wanting more, racing faster to beat my never-ending thoughts.

There are times I scare me.

You tell me you welcome all of me, all of this, and the opening of Pandora’s box, too.

You were waiting and waiting for me to catch up. The signs you were sending I couldn’t make sense of. Now it’s all clear.

Only you can take all of me and all I bring, too.

Without you, I scare me.

Wow.
One of the most poignant pieces ever…
with the most shudderingly resonant closing line. Ever.

Resonates massively here anyway. Classic.

That very raw place,
where you feel so many things…
that’s as sacred as it gets –
an altar
to which I almost lost my devotion
before pieces like this came to remind me.

Right now,
I seem to feel so many things I just can’t say…
and you come along,
knowing this place,
and make it ok.

  That very same exposed strip of skin, sleeping soundlessly until a scraping on your window startles you to waking. I’ve come across it, seeing my own reflection in the window, fearing who I saw.. The lights snap on and he’s running over to me, asking me why I’m screaming.
