I stand in an empty street, watching the cheshire moon grin at me up in the cloudless black sky.

I have an urge to smile back or hug him.

He’s so high put up against black, pinned there shining only when his time rolls around.

We were becoming close when I used to dream of flying.

Oh, I like this very much. I think, a smile, a hug and a dream of flying, all three šŸ˜ŠšŸŒ™

I always had an urge to touch these miracles…
to let their light hug me…
to feel them close, like part of the Universe folding a page on me.
Back then, I was waiting for someone to read the stories with.

    Whay kept you?

That picture just takes me back to the very late summers early falls of my childhood. When summer finally lets loose of what it can no longer hold on to and fall receives it.

I miss those moons. When they were like huge silver dollars in the sky. She just doesn’t shine in her splendor anymore.

Thank you yes !!!! Believe it or not, I took this on a summer night. The moon was stupendous that night and I felt a pull towards it. I sat on the sidewalk and began writing. I could barely get the words out fast enough. I love those moments. I know what you mean though. There are times when the moon seems especially brilliant and inspiring. I am always looking for the moon.

I’ve written so many poems about the moon and night. Kind of monotonous but I can’t help it.. it’s what inspires me and it’s what I know.

I totally don’t judge you lol! I’d do the same. I’ve had to pull over to write before.
