There’s a brilliance out my window in the form of a singular star. She’s shimmering, swimming in a pitched black mass.
We’re cattycornered, spying upon one another, prying inside each other’s worlds.
Far, far away star, swimming and shining against that black backdrop, you’re not that far. You don’t have to pry; you’re so much closer than most.
There’s a star. I’m watching as you’re dancing, appearing to chase a smile.
We’re cattycornered, spying and prying shamelessly, wholeheartedly frozen in our masses of black ink skies.
You’re so heartbreakingly close, so much closer than most.
