I waited until waiting waded me a ways away.
Off shore, someplace where my name can’t reach me.

You think it’s funny.
Watching me waiting anxiously.
Keep laughing but you’re losing me.
Keep laughing as I’m wading into other homes.

You think it’s funny but you won’t be laughing when you finally see me.
