This has been one of the roughest years for most of our lives. There have been people dying, being sick, depressed and more. People are missing each other and need to feel connected now more than ever. I’ve been chatting with friends via google hangouts and seeing them safely as I can.
It’s hard but people are scared. It’s important to remember that we are all dealing with this differently. Anyway, I took a small break from writing for a while as I was busy with my kid clients and trying to get through grieving my neighbor of 20 years who passed suddenly a few weeks ago. My last post was dedicated to her. I had an experience with my friend last night that felt refreshing and magical. We drove to see Christmas lights near her home. I posted this video and poem as a reminder to everyone going through a rough time that there is hope. There will be more good times to come. Enjoy your Christmas and God Bless.
Prancing in the snow, wearing a smile and rosy cheeks. We “vibe through life.” We laugh at our misfortunes, talking with unseen spirits. We drive along in the winter breeze, finding peace in the Christmas decorations.
You’re thrilled as I share your excitement.
You dulcify any conversation with your honest eyes and brutal humor. I get it and value all of you.
Like a child, you’re bright eyed and excited, sharing this message with me.
You have a zest for life.
You have a “c’est la vie” way of being.
You have a zest for life.
You’ve always had.
I do too, though sometimes it’s on mute.
I miss the adventures, when time seemed to last.
A zest, an imagination.
They’re still there, underneath the adult layers.
When I’m with you, I remember myself.
Thank you.
