Rain is falling over me
I’m under cover
Though I’m sad, I don’t regret
letting it soak me through
Sitting with my thoughts
I’m kidding myself
Thinking it will stop soon
There’s no rainbow
in the night sky
Even if there was,
I couldn’t leave the rain.
The rain became what I needed tonight
Rain forced me to stop
Sitting with my thoughts
You keep revolving around
Your thin face smiling
as you slip away
becoming cold, skin colored sallow
Maureen plays the video over and over
You’re waving, fairing your farewell
Did you feel me hugging you?
Did you hear me speak about the memories we shared ?
Did you know I loved you because of who you were ?
You were enough
You were more than enough
So many times I hear people say they wish they could’ve said things in person
Did you know I don’t ?
You would understand
You molded my art
You held my hand
