Sang into crystal blue
white puffy clouds flaunting their backdrop
Some grayscale, laced with sunlight
Somewhere in the distance
Can you see them, too?
Have you sang into crystal blue?
The rocks, the cracked pavement
all giving away underneath
sandals blunt and fat
Our song is going out
into this wide world
Were we only dreaming?
Couldn’t be
Grass blades tapped on bunny backs
Laying flat, hiding from expected rain
Drinking in the last of the sun’s rays
The leaves start shuddering above
trying to outdo our song
As the rhythmic pitter patter picks up
our voices fall
We’re only backup singers to it all
the rain, the leaves, the grass drumming on bunny backs
Our reigning, overshadowed by such simple masterpieces
We’re still present
I still hear you
Come what may .

Thank you. I’m kind of a mess right now. My uncle Carl passed away on Friday . He had colon cancer and it spread. My uncle Bill just passed from cancer 6 months ago. His passing was hard and I’m still grieving him and starting another loss. It’s just a lot to process and so much is missed. I love them both so much . I have so many great memories with both of them. I am blessed to have them . I hope they’re with God . They were both Christians and good men. I just hope they’re with him happy and safe. Thank you, John. Thank you for being kind and being a light in my world right now 🙂 I appreciate you
