Unwritten Letter

I bet you wrote well
The words summoning teardrops
and ink spots forming curved lines

Raw and unfiltered
Gray with neon lightning rods
dusting white thunder heads

I bet you wrote well
when you felt what they were throwing

Angels were crowing
and counting heads

Each was their own
Dainty and graceful
You told their story

I wish I read what you knew
I bet you wrote well

I was there, waiting…

for all the things you’d write back into me
when it seemed
nobody else had the words

that fell a dreaming from the frayed holes in the storm.

It still rains from time to time,
but I’ll jump the puddles
now you’ve found my hand.

    It’s been pretty good. I was super tired yesterday though after work. I’ve been binge watching the show sleepy hollow and then I napped haha. I plan on writing today though 🙂

    Right ?! It’s been such a busy week with work. I know talking about work can be boring. My work is never boring though lol. These kids keep me on my toes. My boy was literally staring me down trying to change the subject like three times when I told him to hand his math homework in lol. The funny thing is he didn’t have to try to escape handing it in because it was finished lol 🤣😆🤣 I was dying.

    Oh no he’s not my son he’s my client :-). I’m not allowed to use names because of HIPAA so I just say my boy client or girl client or sometimes my boy or my girl for short LOL

So poignant–the unread letter. I imagine though thinking about a letter from someone long ago and wondering about it.
