Can’t regret
late nights, screens and scenes
LOVE, before all else
Sleep was in high disregard
lacing our wired minds
Together we decided
devised a world that made sense

Dreaming out loud
dredging those feelings deep down
to surface them
In poetry,
in stories from Poe
and tales from our hearts

Our hearts, our world
Faces lit by flames
Fireside flurries, sparks sailing
high on winds
brightening the tree tops

Guitar strumming,
songs sang
My heart holding the words close

Stories beg to be told
continuing around the fire

Memories lasting
I won’t regret a moment

What a captivating poem. The picture of the campfire to accompany it seems very fitting. I can almost feel the heat from the flames on my face and hear the sounds of the cackling wood as it burns.

Thank you, Linda 🙂 you have a poetic twist to you too. “The sounds of the cackling wood” – I like that. That flows nicely 🙂 What got me thinking about the campfire and the memories in this piece was our conversations haha. So thanks for inspiring me with our reminiscing of childhood memories 🙂 I truly love campfires. I’m sure you make many on your travels . It’s peaceful

Glad you did 🙂 we are supposed to get rain tomorrow. I’m kind of excited thinking about it. With it being warmer, it’ll be nice to sit by window and listen to when I get home from work ha. It’s the little things always 😜

I hate being out in the rain, but I do enjoy the sound of it. Plus the forest just smells amazing afterwards. It’s supposed to reach a high of 18C here in Ontario this afternoon. I’ll have to take advantage of the nice weather and go for a walk. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Yeah that’ll be nice 🙂 have to enjoy it ! It’s been warming up here still 😜 . I’m grateful for it. I purchased a scooter today. I wanted to have something to keep me moving when I will have to otherwise walk alone. I do not walk alone anymore as it isn’t always safe, these days. I am saving up for a bike but until then, I will now have a scooter to get my exercise with. I walk a lot. However, it can only be certain days. I usually wall with my fiance Matt when he’s off work or with my friends or brother haha 🤣. We are planning a lot of hikes this summer
