Love, trying to be living.
Living with it

Love, you bent me forwards
and backwards
Strung me up high,
ticking mountain peaks,
tasting the vanilla swirls of the clouds

Love, trying to be living,
living with accepting

you loving me.

Terrifying.
Ecstasy.

I didn’t expect it to happen this way
I’m on another planet,
planting dreams for other people,
other women’s children.

My womb is shrinking,
my body is healing and dying.
Simultaneous changes taking over
what I call home

I’m in love,
strumming Cupid’s bow,
snapping his arrow.

I’m in love.
I still can’t believe
that I deserve you.

    Love is sometimes blindsiding
    But it’s a pleasant surprise
    The best kind of crying
    From happy eyes.
