We’re solid standing,
stronger than steel,
than the devil’s temptation.
God blesses our strides,
guiding us to change.
That frightening ghost in the room,
we’ve faced together.
It’s like steam,
this tender kiss.
We evaporate into each other,
following a rhythm only we feel.
Can’t break this bond;
others have tried.
Changes don’t break or bend us.
Storms can’t end us.
We are solid standing,
arms looped and hearts locked.
I’ll miss you
when work comes back around.
I’ll miss you
when I won’t be waking next to you.
Still, I know we’ll be fine.
We’re solid.
