Out in the expansive air,
fresh faced and smiling wide.
Timid is left behind,
snacking on new and same.
Arms stretched out,
wind whistling through my teeth,
among chimes, sharpening their pitch
as birds tweeting challenge them.
Leaves bristle
as branches creak.
Rocking chairs wur
boarding a groaning wooden porch floor.
This is as close to Heaven
as the living can be.
