Kept it coming
faster than a freight
train, I’m gunning

Moving through
this liquid air
shifting with the ambience
here, I dare

Kept reminding
damning winds
rewinding my future
backward to recollect
when I had chosen
to disconnect with
this vital piece

of this jigsaw

The rhythm finds
me, I’m not good at
hiding what used to be
true, that I never truly knew

What has this all been for?

This piece made me think quite a bit, which is always a good thing. Glad to see you’ve found more time to work on your poetry. Thanks for sharing.

Aw that makes me happy to hear 😊🙉. I am trying to find more time. It’s tough but I’m trying! Writing and being in nature are two things that mollify me more than anything else. I need it after work or just being indoors for too long. I get cabin fever if I can’t get outside. 🙂

I hear yah! I’m hoping to take some time off later this summer to spend more time outdoors in nature too. It’s hard to find the time during the work week and our weekends have been pretty busy with visiting family and doing stuff around the house.
