Lulling isolation,
sweet self sabotaging
taking your hand.

Didn’t yearn for this sort of empty,
you’re a camouflaged waving flag.

Kept your head
distant enough to be
too far down the lane.

Rain keeps drowning the soil,
and you carry on.
Sailing through the puddles,
you’re the captain.
Going down cascades,
fearless and beguiled by life’s lights.

Hanging on a tipping street lamp,
you’re all you’ve set out to be.

You’re a light dazzling ghostly ships
which are lost at sea.

This is such a heartfelt poem to help capture some of the raw feelings and emotions of sadness.
