Bird’s Eye View

Fearless in your plummeting,
you dive down and soar
along airwaves.

Your eyes gleam with hunger
that can’t be extinguished.
You’re on a mission;
you’re not simply showing off
for the crowds.

The people point their whirring machines
at your fast form.

You’re on a mission.

We’re just tourists
on your heap of land.

I thoroughly enjoyed this piece and liked your use of words to paint a picture in my mind of a bird soaring through the air looking for some prey.

  Thank you, Linda !!!! I am glad it came out OK. 🙂 😀 I took this photo while in Canada 🇨🇦 😎. It was so beautiful there and everyone was so kind 😊 ❤️ Matt and I had such a great time. We plan to go again this year coming . The seagulls were really prevalent when we were there. I got lucky catching this guy or gal with my phone camera. I never thought I’d catch a shot like this one. I was so grateful. I love birds so much. They’re just so majestic and regal looking when they soar as they do.     Glad to hear that you had a wonderful time in Canada and are already making plans to return! It’s amazing how some shots turn out well in terms of the timing. I couldn’t agree more about the birds. We’re hoping to put up a bird feeder in our backyard this winter.
