Flitting in and out,
we’re watching leaves dancing
over a friendly breeze.
Zenith is smiling towards us.
In this moment,
there are no ugly fears, no sorrows.

The colors eradicate the blue sky,
praying to be pardoned.
Humble, bumbling rainclouds part ways
to let sir blue join in our colorful parade.

Our falling leaves tell a story
that began ten years ago today.
Our home is cupped between our entwined hands.
Our hearts beat in synchrony
as we gaze about our splendors.

The fall is my favourite time of the year and this poem helps capture some of the things that I love about it. Most of our leaves have all fallen, but I must say, I do enjoy walking through them.

Our leaves have mostly fallen, too!!! Walking through the leaves , getting that satisfying crunch is of the best parts of fall. I couldn’t agree more 😊
