Sleeping in a position so mild,
your loose muscles bringing back
memories of trusting innocence
only a child could have

Yet, you possess this

Thirty going onto further years
haven’t touched you

You’re an escape artist,
detaching yourself from TIme’s
remorseless foothold

Under a fractured thumb,
you’re free to go at any moment
but here you are

Sleeping next to me

Such a beautiful piece of poetry. It’s very fitting because I’’m reading this as my baby is sleeping next to me.

Awwwww!!!! Your precious baby is very fortunate to have you for a mother. You will teach her well . I am confident of that. Thank you so much πŸ‘πŸ˜Š I love that while reading this your baby was next to you. That makes me smile. A mother’s love is one of the purest loves out there . I hope to experience that one day β˜ΊοΈπŸ’•

You’re very sweet. And that’s very true about a mother’s love. It’s a love I never knew existed. We just got back from holidays a few days ago. I was pleasantly surprised at how well baby M did on the plane and during our road trip. She enjoyed being outdoors, but started to resent her car seat after awhile. It’s good to start them out young though!

Yes, it definitely is . It helps them adjust and be accustomed to travel for sure 😁😊. I’m happy she enjoyed the plane. I feel bad for my parents. When I first went on a plane with them at the age of seven, I was terrified to get on the plane lol. It was silly but I’m still a little afraid of flying but I’ll do it if someone I love is going with me :-). I’m really happy you guys enjoyed your holidays

Flying itself isn’t really fun. It’s actually my least favourite part about travelling. It takes so much time at the airport beforehand and afterwards too, especially if you have to go through customs. But it’s a price I’m willing to pay to explore more of the world.

I can relate. I am terrified of flying lol . Luckily, when Matt and I went on the cruise with his family, I had to sit between he and his mom because I was so scared. They were gracious towards my fear, though. They let me sit by the window so I could feel, “in control” ( could see what was going on) . Matt further comforted me in admitting flying made him a little nervous, too. I am more comfortable with it now, though. The waiting is also tough. Usually, I try to keep my mind busy by being on this blog or playing games on my tablet to keep calm. haha

I’m such a fan of the window seat too. And yes, it’s all about the things we do to keep ourselves entertained and distracted!
