Unintentionally angry,
doubtful thay there will be reprieve.
Continuing or not has never been an option,
not for me.

Tired of being reckless
and afraid
Tossing it all away, while keeping some good pieces.
Broken and rebuilding,
bit by bit.

Don’t stare at me.
I am endeavoring to belong
in a world that wasn’t designed
for a mind like mine

Great piece. I think a lot of us feel this way at one point or another and stumble through life trying to belong.

Right ? You’be nailed it, again, Linda!!!! We do! These times definitely help us realize and appreciate the times we don’t feel that way. I hope you’re having a great week!!!

For sure. I’m hoping that the older we get, the less we care about trying to belong and just embrace who we are. The week has gone by so fast. It’s hard to believe it’s already the end of September! We’re hoping to do some hiking over the next couple of weeks to enjoy the fall colours. Hope you had a wonderful week as well. And hey, it’s now almost the weekend!

Yes!! The weekend is always cherished as are moments during the week, especially when a client makes strides you didn’t expect them to. Those are beautiful moments I’m grateful for. I agree. I definitely have come to terms with so much more as I’ve grown and it’s freeing. Everything is a process for sure but it’s worth it when it all comes full circle. I’m glad you’re going to get out hiking ! We’ve been trying to get outside, too. We recently planted some mums and snapdragons and they took really well. I’m grateful. It’s nice having splashes of colors in our front yard. We recently visited Kennywood in Pittsburgh. It was a great time being back. It was hot but still very enjoyable to get out and see line outside of work and local areas haha 😄 😆. We’ll be coming back to Pittsburgh again soon to see an artist coming here so m I’m looking very much forward to it. Traveling eases the mind in ways regular day to day things can’t 😌 ✨️ happy hiking!

There’s certainly a lot to be thankful for. It sounds like you’re making a great effort to enjoy all the moments and embrace who you are.

Mums are such a quintessential fall flower. I typically get one for my front porch every year, but I’ve been a bit slow at getting around to it. I never really associated snap dragons with the fall, but I should look into it.

That’s awesome that you were able to visit Pittsburgh again (and have plans to go back already). We’ve been meaning to return. It’s such an underrated city.

Pittsburgh truly is underrated, especially Kennywood amusement. Yes! The Mums make the front area look so colorful. Having Mums on the porch is a great idea! My neighbor has a bunch on her porch and it brightens it up so beautifully. I recently have been dabbing in fall crafts for decorating. I made a wreath with fall colored pinecokes and flowers I painted. I also made a fall center piece basket with cinnamon sticks and painted pinecones. I am really enjoying it. I love fall so much. I know we both do haha. I think snapdragon are more of a summer flower but we wanted flowers so we planted them the beginning of summer and they’re still growing strong. I had to use sticks to prop them at first, though, as they were bending to reach the sun.

You’re right. I am always trying to enjoy those little moments in between the bustling of the day. Embracing who I am has been an ongoing trial but I’m getting there. Thirties are so much wiser than our twenties haha

I’ll have to keep Kennywood in mind for when we return to Pittsburgh. Sounds fun! I know you’ve talked about it before.

I’ve been thinking about getting a fall wreath for my door. That’s awesome that you made one yourself, along with a fall center piece basket. I’m such a fan of arts and crafts.

Yes, definitely do! You will not be disappointed and they have little rides and a Thomas the Train area too for kiddos. So, when your little one is a little older she’ll have rides, too!

I am, too! Arts and crafts break up the monotony and bring extra joy to the holidays and seasons. I noticed transitions into seasons can sometimes to be rough on my system. I don’t mean that in a negative way. It’s just an adjustment. The crafts and decorating bring an even more fun way to transition to seasons, even ones such as summer which aren’t exactly preferred haha 😆 😅 😄. I bet you would make such a beautiful display. The way you take photos shows your incredible eye for detail.

My mom started me young with that. Some of my fondest memories are of us going to collect chestnuts and pinecones to create things. I will carry this on with my children. I wish I would’ve started doing this earlier on in my adulthood but I’m happy I’m doing it, now!

It’s wonderful that you have such fond memories of doing arts and crafts with your mom and that you want to share that experience with your kids someday. It’s a great way to be creative and take pride in something that you created. I guess I’m not all that surprised to hear that it’s something you enjoy as poetry is kind of like that.

I’ve been looking at some ideas for a fall wreath online. But now I want to make a wreath for every season / holiday!

They’re definitely important to me. Some memories just stick. The ones that really stick with me are ones with art and connectivity.

I’m so excited to hear that!! I know however you chose to make them, they’ll be awesome!!

Kept thinking about those last four lines, because they sum up a lot of where I have been just lately.

Sorry we didn’t meet in that place.
