Parties have come close to this,
but not many times, before.
I saw happiness reach your eyes,
your heart filling it’s cup.
Your voice hasn’t change.
Your face has barely aged.
Life is better these days.
Cassy is clean
and you’re still a machine.
I guess some things still stay the same,
even when all else is changing.
Your trailer has gone to a new home,
along with your swings
and grandpa Woss,
has gone home to Jesus.
But you’re still, here
in your same home,
the same yard
where we’ve revelled many times, before.
We’re here.
We’re cerebrating another year.
