She says it’s better to write it down on paper,
better to scribble in a rushed
state to get the words out,
than to neatly type.
Typing isn’t the same,
doesn’t involve the raw emotions
seen in the chicken scratch of a moment.
I can’t help that all my paper,
goes towards smaller hands
than mine,
used for drawings and schedules
above my head at times.
Writing is our catharsis,
our escape.
Writing, no matter where, brings us
peace in this fast-paced society.
I’ll write on napkins.
I’ll write on loose leaf
bits of construction paper.
I’ll write on the walls of your institution.
I’ll write as a constant,
no matter the place.
I won’t be silenced,
not even by myself.

Right?! Everyone writes differently and that’s what’s so amazing about it. Glad you get it !!
