Silence is so loud
when you’re missing somebody.
Left on read,
empty circles are
the same as
empty words.
We’re busy.
We’re well loved.
We have enough,
are enough.
But, we can still remember
with dry cheeks
We drifted apart,
though we’re everywhere,
in the stars,
the sunrise,
a stranger’s smile.
We’d soar with the crows.
We became one with the night,
ditching the streetlights,
hiding in tall grass until morning,
our blanket being our only company.
The early morning would greet us
with the hot summer sun
and the early birds singing,
the rich smell of sunkissed grass,
and bunnies chaperoning us home.
We were infinite as the ocean
as the stars
We made memories
forged by emotions.
Silence is loud.
But, bountiful memories are louder,
and last forever.
