last ditch effort,
crisis team is aboard,
riding along on a cyclical train
I’ve been in that small space,
where the walls are spreading
and suffocating all the same.
I’ve been there,
hanging onto a metaphorical thread.
Eyes tired,
mind wired,
afraid of everything
I’m not living your story.
I wouldn’t dare say I was.
I’m not living your experience.
But, I’ve shared a similar pain.
