Fluffy and flaunting,
their majesty, magical
in their distinct design,
a crystalized peace of mind.

They decorate our familiar,
making us stop and stare.
The bustle of yesterday falls short
in a quiet zip of time.

Snow falling,
a train whistle singing
in the still, silent winter.
Snow falling, leaves us in awe.

Like looking through the eyes of a child,
snow falling brings us to a place
when time was slower
and imagination was endless.

The first snowfall of the season is always so magical. You described it well – it does transport me back to a time where time was slower and the imagination endless. I have such fond memories of playing in the snow as a child.

I do, too! I miss it sometimes, more than sometimes. We just had a pretty significant snow storm here. It wasn’t fun shoveling but it was fun to see. I lay in bed writing, watching the snow fall. Did you get any snow yet? Thank you for saying I described it well. I wanted to transport you guys back to a time when things were less stressful for a moment. 🙂
