In the still of the morning silence,
You’re all that’s on my mind
Responsibilities mean nothing.
I just want to see you all, again.
And I’ll thrive,
adapt and conquer.
I am capable and stronger, stronger than this mental illness.
All of your words are sticking in my brain,
stuck and won’t leave.
I need your thoughts,
your faith in me.
All of you, tall and small hold me closely like a child with their teddy bear.
I’m playing every song that reminds me of you.
I’m using your faith in me.
The words you whispered in my ear.
“You’re going to do great.”
Hearing it from you meant more than
You could ever imagine.
You were right.
Your words manifested into truth.
I think you need me as much I need you.
And we’ll be friends for a lifetime,
perhaps even longer.
