You’re shutting your heart for the last time.
I’m in this parking lot with a vacancy sign.
There are so many options though I can’t seem to choose, run, go home, keep the doors locked and close my eyes.
This has been one hell of a week and I’m sorry you’re disinterested. I’ve been surpassing my A game but still I am stuck in second place.
Imaginary friend is poking at me, prodding too deep down. I can’t shake the voice out.
There’s a vacancy sign blinking and missing letters. Should I just stay? The windows are cracked but the lights are on.
I’m too tired to run. I can’t go home to face you. My car is wasting gas and I’m going nowhere too fast.
If I could just get some sleep, let my brain rewire me, maybe I could leave.
I just can’t bring myself to moving.
