Disclaimer: There are a lot of covid 19 posts out there. I am not trying in any way to prove a point about the many theories going around. I just wrote a poem expressing how I feel and trying to spin a positive outcome. With that said, I hope you guys enjoy it. This is such a big topic that is effecting so many people worldwide. Posting this is incredibly nerve wracking as I want to do the situation and the people directly and indirectly impacted justice. Stay safe everyone. I love you guys, my extended family!
Extending into June, we’re a hot red dagger, sticking stuck in the polluted Susquehanna river bed.
We’re red, bold and marked like a county cursed, blacklisted until June.
Restrictions and conflicts make us wonder.
Whose war is this anyway?
We’re left to wonder when we’re coming close to closing all we know around us.
Stay home.
We want to be safe.
We want to love but we’re afraid.
We’re afraid to lose and afraid to venture out.
Restrictions and conflicts make us wonder.
We’re wondering whose war is this anyway?
Time ticks on track; even with more of it, we’re aiming not to waste it.
Together at home, and together still until June.
We have to remember we have each other in this and it will only keep us stronger.
