Daisies
wait out the storm,
making strides
in their unequivocal brazen beauty

I’m inspired by the daisies,
their high, strong stems,
petals raising to the sky.
I’m hanging by my bootstraps
but gaining momentum in my tying

I’ve lived through lightning.
I’ve shouted louder than thunder.
Negative thoughts never got me very far.
I’ll close my eyes, speaking well intentions
while I’m hanging by my bootstraps
but grabbing a hold of my feet,
lifting myself into the driver’s seat

I’m on my way,
tasting that tail end
of that promising rare rainbow.

Such simple yet hardy and beautiful flowers. I’m inspired by them as well.

Right ? They survive such shifts in temperatures so well. There was this bird sanctuary trail I went on and there were flowers growing through the snow . I don’t remember their name but it was quite incredible to witness

They could have been crocuses. They typically bloom in chilly temperatures early in the spring.

Maybe they were! Thank you ! I love knowing the names of flowers and trees and birds and things. I genuinely enjoy it.
