Darting forwards and upwards,
tails shaking
and little teeth gnashing.
My heart warmed when you let me pet you.
That was one of the greatest feats of the day.
Your eyes met mine.
You were offended by my touching you.
I couldn’t resist.
You were still and so so cute.
I’m in a mood and distracted by you.
All else fades away.
I’m heavily invested in
your soft fur, your fluffy tail.
You tried to hide being still.
But you’re no match for me.
My favorite, my skinny tail.
I look for you amongst the puffy tails.
I love you because you’re different.
Beautiful.
Hold still.
I want to take your picture.
I promise I won’t pet you again,
just don’t leave my side.
